Wolf Pack on the streets

Hello wolf pack! and that's all I have to say about that.

oh herro...Taylor makes the asian squat look damn sexy!

http://twilightbuzz.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/taylor-lautner.jpg

and then some ridiculousness, thanks to newmoonmovie.org:

200905081855.jpg Alex Meraz, who plays the badboy wolf Paul in New Moon, reveals that a fan took his role a bit too seriously, giving him a hard time for the character he is playing–

“Someone started yelling at me because they didn’t like my character,” Meraz told us last night at a Carrera Vintage Sunglasses party at the Chateau Marmont hotel.

“I play a bad boy, so she got mad at me,” he added. “She said, ‘I hate you, Paul!’ That was the craziest thing for me—being confused for a character.”

Meraz’s response to the hater?…

“I yelled back at her, ‘I love you, too!’” he said.

He also revealed that he doesn’t think he can compare to Robert Pattinson in the sex symbol category (I beg to differ!)–

“I’m happy to have just a smidgen of what he’s got…I’m not worried about being a sex symbol.”

Alex Meraz and Taylor Lautner: Martial Arts During Free Time

May 8, 2009

Alex Meraz new Moon Paul fighting dancing

Alex Meraz, a fellow wolf pack member in New Moon with Taylor Lautner, reveals that the two put their background in martial arts to good use–in their free time, the duo perform martial arts together!

Meraz, who plays a volatile member of the wolf pack named Paul, tells us he and fellow furry friend Taylor Lautner often pass the time between shooting doing martial arts, including karate and backflips.

“The wolf pack is like brothers,” squealed Meraz, eagerly.

The crew is currently shooting in Vancouver, and Meraz says it is going “great.” He adds that the sequel, in his humble estimation, will definitely be superior to the original.

“It gets bigger, better and more exciting,” gushed Meraz.

five stages of grief

saw this over at twilight widower:

After exhaustive study of the habits of Twilight Widowers, I came across a blog that identified the Five stages of Twilight-Widower-Grief (Suspicion, Denial, Anger, More Anger, Complacency).

I myself have gone through these stages.

Suspicion ("Honey? Are you watching Twilight again?" and "Did you just call me ‘Edward’?")
Denial ("I'm sure it's just a phase. I don't mind ironing her work clothes.")
Anger ("No, I am not making mushroom ravioli again!")
More Anger ("No, we are not buying tickets for the Twilight cruise!")
Complacency ("Here, honey, I printed up Midnight Sun and bound it for you. Now you won't get eyestrain.")

Now that I have resigned myself to the role of complacent Twilight Widower, I have discovered that despite the seemingly endless neglect us Twi-Widowers often endure, there are some surefire ways to get the wife to pay attention to you (albeit for a few sweet, brief minutes until the latest New Moon news is posted).

rob likes lap dances

He’s one of the most adored leading men in Hollywood, but apparently Robert Pattinson just can’t get enough female attention.

According to a recent report, the “Twilight” stud has frequented a local Vancouver strip club while in town to shoot his current project “New Moon.”

While spending time at Brandi’s Exotic Nightclub, Rob took a liking to a curvy adult entertainer named Kendra who gave him a private lap dance on his first visit.

An inside source told press, “She’s very pretty and very sexy. She reminds me of Bo Derek in 10.” Way to go, Rob!

a bit disappointed

so i saw this over at twilightersanonymous and got really excited:
Ta forum member Katie(alovethatsnotsupposedtobe) shares her love for Bella’s lullaby by sharing different versions of the song:

Different instruments playing Bella’s lullaby.
We have all come to love Carter Burwell’s lullaby, even though a lot of us had are own version of the song in are head. But once Carters version was released as the movies version, Youtube started to get some very talented musicians trying out the lullaby on there instrument of choice. I have spent the past couple of days going through all of the videos finding the best ones. All I have to say is wow, everyone is very talented and I wish that I could do what they do (even though I spent 3 years in band I could never be as good as them). I pretty sure the sheet music for the piano has now been released but these guys have taught themselves how to play Bella’s lullaby on there own, some parts of the song can get a little ruff, but it still sounds extremely well! I think my favorite instrument playing it, would have to be the guitar, it’s a really good version.
unfortunately the versions were...imo a bit of a let down...you can check them all out (guitar, flute, piccolo, base clarinet, violin) in the link above if you want, but here's the best one:

GAH

saw this over at TwiFans:
After deeming the 20-minute Sage & the Dills concert at Vancouver hot spot Metropole too short for his taste, an enchanted Robert Pattinson invited the band and his fellow New Moon co-stars, including Kristen Stewart, back to his hotel for an impromptu jam session on April 18.

As Robert, who plays dreamy vampire Edward Cullen, strummed his guitar, on-screen sibling Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) played harmonica while their big-screen sister Nikki Reed (Rosalie) added lyrics she had practiced onstage earlier that evening while serenading cast mate Taylor Lautner.

“We just got really creative,” lead singer Sage tells OK! of the intimate hotel-room session, which sounded like a mix of old-school rock and country as well as Van Morrison, Robert’s favorite rocker. “Everything blended together really well.”

But that hasn’t stopped Kellan, 24, from clobbering Robert when the cameras are rolling. While working on a scene in which their bodies collide, the actors learned that they have differing methods for stunt work — high school football star Kellan actually knocked the wind out of Robert.

“He didn’t think I’d actually nail him, but that’s what the script said I was supposed to do,” explains Kellan. “I didn’t go out of my way to hurt him, but there is Rob, trotting along, and bang!”

someone else was wrong

interview with catherine hardwicke in texas monthly:
It’s remarkable how not only kids but also grown-ups have responded. It really has cut across demographics.

When Stephenie wrote the first book, she didn’t expect it to go into the Young Adults section. Someone else decided that’s where it should go. She and I joked that, yes, you’ve got Romeo and Juliet, the two young lovers, but it doesn’t mean no one else can appreciate the play. It started out with the teenagers, but then it expanded—you know, you have the Twilight moms and the Twilight grandmoms. I’ve met tons of people older than teenagers who loved the book and confessed that they’ve seen the movie three times, four times. And I’ve met boys who’ve seen it. Some of them had to sneak in; they didn’t want to tell their friends.

kaycob...take note...
What about Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella?

I had seen Into the Wild—I thought she was so good in that. There’s the moment where she’s sitting on the bed and is so vulnerable. You can just feel what she’s feeling. She wants to connect, and Emile Hirsch is great: “No, I can’t do it—you’re underage.” I loved her from that scene, and I thought, “I just have to meet this girl.”

from the heart...

after a clip from a radio show surfaced this week with david slade (eclipse director) bashing on twilight in november, fans automatically turned against him. he's now sent an email directly to the fans thru Twilight Lexicon to try to clear things up:

Dear Laura and Lori

I would be grateful if you could distribute this statement to the fans of Twilight:I would like to address some statements that I made regarding Twilight.

When I made these comments, I had neither seen the film nor read the books. I was promoting a comedy short film that I had made for Xbox and every pop culture subject was seen as a possible comedy target. I was being silly and none of the statements were from the heart.

Of course, I have since seen the movie and read the books and was quickly consumed with the rich storytelling and the beautifully honest characters that Stephenie Meyer created.

I would like to reassure everyone involved that I am invested in making the best film that I am humanly capable of, and that I am acutely aware of the power of the original books we serve.

Please be rest assured this statement is absolutely from the heart.

yours sincerely

DAVID SLADE

yeayan yeanolds

any excuse to post ryan reynolds! from the twilight examiner:

Jolly, olive-skinned, and observant, Garrett's character is [*spoiler*] a sort of speech-giving savior to the Cullens in Breaking Dawn with the Renesmee situation. Standing up to the Volturi, this somewhat messy wanderer has to use his words to save the day.

With Reynolds, we all know that he is a fast-talking, speech-wielding know-it-all type in most of his films, but he can also pull of some rather intense scenes as well.

yeayan, u can join the facebook group here but i think after viewing this video below, we should consider starting a group to have a rob & ryan romance

interview with tinsel korey over at the province:
"I know this is the pinnacle of where things are about to change for me," says Korey, who hasn't worked a day job since a brief stint as a waitress when she came to Vancouver from Toronto as a teen in 2002. "It was happening gradually but I just have an internal feeling that it's about to get a little crazy."
In New Moon, Korey adds sweetness and light as Emily, part of the story's community of natives who befriend lovelorn teen Bella (Kristen Stewart) when her vampire beau (the freshly minted superstar Robert Pattinson) leaves town. Some of those natives have another side as werewolves, and human Emily bears the scars from where her werewolf boyfriend once got too close.
The fan frenzy around all things Twilight has Korey lying low.
"I wasn't even allowed to say I was in it for months," she says. As well, Korey has stayed away from the Internet fan chatter.
"My agent is like, 'You're banned from the Internet, you're not allowed to Google yourself, because people can be really mean.'"

Alexandre Desplat

Alexandre is an amazing composer!!

Alexandre Desplat is Scoring Twilight Saga: New Moon?!

April 24, 2009
Source: Upcoming Film Scores
by Alex Billington

Alexandre Desplat

Some heartbreaking news today. French composer Alexandre Desplat will be scoring The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The news was confirmed by the Upcoming Film Scores blog, where they say that Desplat has a working relationship with director Chris Weitz. Why is this heartbreaking? Because Desplat is one of the finest composers working today and I was hoping there wouldn't be anything that would actually interest me in New Moon. Desplat will be replacing Carter Burwell, who provided the score for the first Twilight last year. I actually liked Burwell's score, it was probably the best part of that entire movie.

Desplat received Oscar nominations for his scores to The Queen and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button most recently. He has also composed the scores for Stephen Gaghan's Syriana, John Curran's The Painted Veil, Ang Lee's Lust, Caution, and Chris Weitz's The Golden Compass. He is currently working on Julie & Julia, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life. He does some incredible work and I've loved most of his scores. It'll be interesting to see how much work Desplat does for New Moon, considering Twilight featured mostly pop songs and only the occasional orchestral score (with also Bella's Lullaby).

An example of his work...listen for the piano solo 30 seconds in...can't you see a lost & lonely edward wandering aimlessly...ahh gives me chills!
