I received an urgent text from jocose today while she's out in the woods camping:

From my sister: I went to an animal shelter and there were 4 kittens named edward, alice, jacob, and emmett. Edward was being anti-social.

Clearly the Jacob kitty should be named Jasper. Jacob would look more like this...

'Fame Won't Change Robert Pattinson,' Says Pal

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson would never let success and fame swell his head, says British musician Bobby Long, a longtime friend.

"[Rob] is the best person all of this could ever happen to," Long tells Celebuzz. "It would never affect Robert the wrong way."

Bobby--who contributed two songs to the Twilight soundtrack--has been friends with Pattinson since a few years ago, when the two were struggling artists in London.

"Robert lived in a dingy, horrible, little flat in Soho near Denmark Street," recalls Long. “We used to hang out and play music until five in the morning. We only ate pizza for like two months. We ballooned in weight, watching films, listening to music and writing."

When Pattinson returned to London after shooting Twilight, Long and musician pal Marcus Foster played a song for Rob that they had co-written called Let Me Sign. Bobby Long musician pal of Robert Pattinson

"[Robert] thought the song was really cool and took it to L.A.," recounts Long (pictured to left). “Before I knew it, it was going to be used in the film." Pattinson performed the song on Twilight's best-selling soundtrack.

Despite his quiet demeanor, Rob is ferociously talented. "He's extremely talented," says Long. "Just as talented with his music as an actor."

Pattinson's Twilight co-stars have also gushed about what a great guy Rob is. "He's such a humble guy," says Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen in Twilight. "I'm very impressed with him."

Not surprisingly, Pattinson has received high praise from his female co-stars. "He’s really talented, really smart," says Nikki Reed, 20, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale. "He’s really musical, he’s an intellectual.

Similarly, co-star Kristen Stewart adores the 6'1" British hunk. "He's a good actor and has a really insane work ethic," says Kristen, 18. "He is really sensitive; he's perfect."

For now, Pattinson is in Vancouver filming New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. Shooting will take place in Vancouver and Italy, with the film scheduled to come out in November.

After New Moon wraps, Rob will take a brief break and then begin shooting Eclipse, the third installment in the Twi book series. Eclipse will hit theaters in June 2010--a mere 7 months after New Moon debuts.

For Pattinson, the past year has been a roller-coaster ride in overnight superstardom. The reserved Brit now has paparazzi staking out his every move, and celebrity tabloids speculating on his personal life.

But close friends insist all the fan adulation and success won't change the self-effacing, modest Pattinson. "[Rob's] exactly as he always was," says Long. "He's very down-to-earth and humble, just a normal lad." read more...

The Twilight stars talked to Entertainment Tonight’s Thea Andrews who gets them to open up about their off-screen love lives.

Taylor also comments to Thea on rumors that he could have been replaced by another actor in "New Moon," while Rob tells Thea how he feels about the onscreen love triangle between Edward, Jacob and Bella.

Amid rumors that he is romantically involved with cast-mate Nikki Reed (again), Rob is also said to be trying to get closer to "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart.If you can believe the latest tabloid reports, that is, which are often notoriously wrong.

Kristen, has had a long standing boyfriend and repeatedly said she’s not interested in Rob romantically. Kristen's boyfriend, Michael Angarano has largely remained in the shadows, but the two have been together since she was 15. But there were reports today (Apr. 23) that Kristen had broken up with Michael after catching him cheating.

Nikki reportedly had a late-night rendezvous with Rob in Vancouver, British Columbia, on March 29, while filming the "Twilight" sequel. The next day she flew home to Los Angeles, only to return to the set to find Rob directing his amorous affections toward Kristen and flirting with other girls on the set.

Rob and Kristen have a definite on-screen chemistry, and both share a love for music. Does Kristen, however, have other attributes that Rob seems to favor? And is there a chance now that they may get together?

When it comes to type, Rob says he doesn't especially have one. "I don't have a 'type," he told Elle Japan in a video interview earlier this year. "I like it when people aren't afraid to express themselves in what they wear or how they behave. It's annoying when people are afraid to be themselves." read more...

Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between, Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.

Robert Pattinson Thinks Internet Addictive and Pathetic

"It is kind of addictive, but at the same time pathetic," Robert Pattinson has been quoted as telling Film.com about how he perceives the Internet. "(The internet) feeds the worst part of your soul. When you have nothing to do and you go on, when you're too tired to read a book," he explains further.

"I'll read the news, you go on to the New York Times, you get bored and go on IMDb (Internet Movie Database website). Then you realize how pathetic you are," the "Twilight" hunk shares. "I have to delete my history (of visited websites)."

Robert Pattinson, who currently is in Vancouver, Canada for the filming of "The Twilight Saga's New Moon," was ranked first on the list of OK! Magazine's Most Eligible Men which was released recently. Robert Pattinson 'Smells Like Roses', 'New Moon' Co-Star Alex Meraz Says

Contrary to the mounting rumors on the street that Robert Pattinson has body odor, Alex Meraz says the British movie hunk "smells like roses." Asked about Robert's much-talked smell, the film star told E! News at the Armani Exchange watch launch party at the SLS Hotel on Wednesday night, April 15, "The first time I met him, I was like, 'Dude, you smell fantastic!'"

"I don't know where people get this stuff from," he continued. On how Rob responded to his praise, Alex claimed, "He blushed and did his hair thing. He's comfortable in his own sexuality."

Robert Pattinson, the leading actor in "Twilight" and its highly anticipated sequel "The Twilight Saga's New Moon," has been hit with numerous negative reports regarding his body odor. Most recently, it was reported that some crew on the set of "New Moon" complained that he "stinks and never showers." Robert himself has insisted in an interview with MovieFone that he showers.

Alex Meraz is Robert's co-star in "New Moon" and is billed to play the role of a volatile member of the wolf pack named Paul. Both 16 and both in Vancouver – Selena Gomez arrived in town last week to begin work on a new movie called Ramona and Beezus.

My sources tell me exclusively that she and Taylor Lautner, of Twilight of course, have had dinner 3 times now, and that he’s been visiting her onset at her lunch hour when he’s not shooting.

Rob seemed irked when Nikki crashed his night out with castmates Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and a few other friends at Boneta Restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia, on April 13. "When Nikki arrived, Robert didn't get up to say hi," says an eyewitness. Rob ignored Nikki most of the night as he chatted up her pal Sage "Cecil" Dills and the rest of the cast. Then after finishing his glass of wine 10 minutes before midnight, Rob made his goodbye rounds, giving big hugs to everyone -- except Nikki. "He gave her a weak high-five as she tried to put on a big smile," continues the onlooker, "but Rob just wasn't having it." read more...

"They had to have papers that proved their heritage," says director Chris Weitz, who was the one who insisted on hiring within the community. "And they had to be in good physical shape."

The Twilight sequel is filming now, and between takes, the actors usually are working out with barbells, doing push-ups or chowing down on steak, Weitz says. "They went through wolf camp together, and they are in constant training. It paid off as a bonding thing for them and helped them to get to know one another. They drove each other to get more buff."

The adage that you can tell a lot about someone by their shoes seems true of Jackson Rathbone, who is wearing brown leather cowboy boots flecked with yellow paint. He spent many of his formative years in Texas, and talking to him, it becomes clear that he would describe himself as an artist before he would just call himself an actor.
