He said: "It was really fun. Actually, Peter (Facinelli) and Edi (Gathegi) and myself - Peter has this P90X workout program and I learned Bas Rutten when I was in Africa doing Generation Kill, so it's a lot of Muay Thai Jiu-Jitsu type of training.

"And just ate a lot of protein and bulked up. A lot of push-ups, a lot of abs, and just heavy lifting."

Kellan Lutz dishes on NM, Eclipse and BD!

Hey TWIST girls!

Kellan Lutz opened up about the upcoming Twilight movies! He talks about his favorite scene in New Moon, one of his first memories getting recognized by fans and more!

On filming New Moon:
"I'm done with New Moon. It was really easy to work on with [Director] Chris Weitz. It all starts with the director, and he really moves the tempo with shooting. And he's just so mellow and relaxed that it trickled down to the crew. And they were really prepared and it trickled down to the actors, who were really comfortable. And since Twilight was really accepted by the fans, it really allowed us to feel comfortable in our shoes."

On what to look forward to in NM:
"Something to really look forward to is Jackson Rathbone's scene when he's playing Jasper, and Bella cuts her finger at her birthday party. He really loses himself there. He really transformed himself and got there, so it was really cool to see. And I think the fans will really like to see that and be surprised with how fierce he looked and got."

On continuing to play Emmett:
"Emmett has quite a larger role with Eclipse and then Breaking Dawn, so I'm really excited to shoot Eclipse coming up soon and then hopefully Breaking Dawn!

On encountering fans:
"As far as the fans, I guess nothing too bizarre [has happened]. The conventions are always on lockdown, and at the publicity events, we have security. But when I'm in LA and I'm walking around -- I was driving one day, leaving my neighborhood and this car pulled up right next to me and they started screaming out their window! They told me to roll the window down, and I'm like 'What the heck is going on?' And I roll my window down and it's "Emmett!" Just screaming! And I'm like, 'Oh, that's why!' I forgot and this was right after we were done shooting [Twilight], so I really didn't know the hype for the movie. Or that fans had so much love for it! So when that happened, I was just realy taken back."

The fancy-sounding event will take place at the Social Life Estate from 7pm to 10pm on Independence day–I’ll be knee deep in fireworks, hot dogs and adult beverages at my own party by then I hope!

OMG! This is going to have all you Twilight fans squealing with delight. Tiger Beat and BOP recently got to have an EXCLUSIVE interview Kellan Lutz! Kellan plays Emmett Cullen in the Twilight saga films and he let us in on a secret: while filming New Moon his costars and he would sing a LOT of karaoke! “I don’t try and sing,” he shared, “I don’t have a bad voice. I usually make a fool out of myself. So it’s really whatever.”

Q: Now certain movies you guys did a lot of stuff off set too, um, but even on set, I know some other casts play golf together, table tennis competitions. Did you guys do anything of that sort on the set of New Moon?

A: Uh, we really didn’t have anything as far as being in L.A., we know our stomping grounds, so when we shoot here, we all have our favorite places like Big Z’s or Barney’s Beanery, where we can go play Wii and hang out. But a lot of times we just would find a local karaoke bars or dive bars where Jackson or Rob could play and just kind of mellow out there or we’ll just buy games and just bring games up to our hotel room and all just get together, and you know, play games together.

Q: Karaoke though, that’s pretty interesting. What is your karaoke song?

A: I don’t try and sing. I don’t have a bad voice. I usually make a fool out of myself. So it’s really whatever. I like it when my friends randomly pick a song. I’m not so knowledgeable with who sings what. I don’t know, music is not really my forte. I enjoy listening to it, but lyrics and learning lyrics or who sings what, that’s not me. So, so yeah, it kinda just happens. Pick songs Britney Spears, sometimes it’s Justin Timberlake and I just have fun.


Q: Who in the cast would you say is the karaoke champion?

A: Well, see, that’s a tough choice right there cause Peter and Edi, they have a lot of musical background but they also have fun and they rock out. But if it’s who has the best voice, then it’s Rob and Jackson. So, you know Rob knows a lot of types of music, but mainly in a certain genre-same with Jackson. Whereas, you could tell with Peter, Edi to go sing a country song and they’d jump up there and throw on a little accent and get crazy with it.

After deeming the 20-minute Sage & the Dills concert at Vancouver hot spot Metropole too short for his taste, an enchanted Robert Pattinson invited the band and his fellow New Moon co-stars, including Kristen Stewart, back to his hotel for an impromptu jam session on April 18.

As Robert, who plays dreamy vampire Edward Cullen, strummed his guitar, on-screen sibling Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) played harmonica while their big-screen sister Nikki Reed (Rosalie) added lyrics she had practiced onstage earlier that evening while serenading cast mate Taylor Lautner.

“We just got really creative,” lead singer Sage tells OK! of the intimate hotel-room session, which sounded like a mix of old-school rock and country as well as Van Morrison, Robert’s favorite rocker. “Everything blended together really well.”

But that hasn’t stopped Kellan, 24, from clobbering Robert when the cameras are rolling. While working on a scene in which their bodies collide, the actors learned that they have differing methods for stunt work — high school football star Kellan actually knocked the wind out of Robert.

“He didn’t think I’d actually nail him, but that’s what the script said I was supposed to do,” explains Kellan. “I didn’t go out of my way to hurt him, but there is Rob, trotting along, and bang!”
